Frankfurt am Main, March 2026 – At HANNOVER MESSE 2026 (April 20–24), the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA), together with its partners, will present the “5G and Industrial Wireless Arena” in Hall 26. As the world’s leading industrial trade fair, HANNOVER MESSE provides the ideal platform to demonstrate how Industrial 5G is moving from trials to scalable deployment.
The 5G-ACIA booth in Hall 26, Stand G31, serves as the global hub for visitors seeking expert information and exchange on Industrial 5G. Located in the 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena, it brings together leading representatives from the automation industry (OT) and the information and communication technology (ICT) sector. Participating member companies will present 5G demonstrators and showcase the latest technological developments, highlighting how Industrial 5G enables reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity for manufacturing and process industries.
Demo Wall 3.0: Demonstrating Ecosystem Maturity
A key highlight of the booth is the 5G-ACIA Demo Wall 3.0, which provides a comprehensive overview of today’s Industrial 5G ecosystem. Significantly updated for Hannover Messe 2026, the Demo Wall features market-ready Industrial 5G devices and infrastructure components from leading ecosystem players, including ABB, AILINK, Askey, Ataya, CampusGenius, Druid Software, Ericsson, Firecell, Fraunhofer IPT, HMS Networks, HUAWEI, ITRI, Keysight, Kontron, Moxa, Netmodule (part of Belden), Nokia, Phoenix Contact, Qualcomm, Rohde & Schwarz, Siemens, and Verizon. The exhibition showcases routers, modules, dongles, and antennas, alongside radio access components, private 5G core solutions, and industrial edge platforms. It also illustrates selected end-to-end use cases that demonstrate how Industrial 5G networks are deployed in practice, from device connectivity and radio access to core network and edge integration.
The 2026 edition introduces new panels, additional private 5G core and Open RAN components, enhanced edge systems, and updated device demonstrations, reflecting the continuous evolution of the ecosystem. Following Hannover Messe, the Demo Wall will also be presented at the first-ever 5G-ACIA Industrial 5G User Conference, taking place on May 28, 2026, in Frankfurt am Main. The conference will be held during the same week as the 5G-ACIA Plenary Meeting, marking a significant milestone in the alliance’s efforts to engage directly with industrial end users and strengthen dialogue across the ecosystem.
Business and Technical Insights on Stage
Beyond the exhibition area, 5G-ACIA members will actively contribute to the stage program in Hall 26. Through keynote speeches, expert panels, and technical presentations, they will address both the business and technical dimensions of Industrial 5G adoption.
Topics will include:
- The business value and return on investment of Industrial 5G use cases (Fraunhofer IPT)
- 5G positioning for spatial awareness on the shop floor (Fraunhofer IIS)
- Private network implementation and PLMN-ID considerations (Nokia)
- Strategic perspectives from the 5G-ACIA General Chairs (Siemens and Ericsson)
- How AI and 5G together are transforming industrial operations at scale (Nokia)
These sessions will provide practical guidance for industrial decision-makers evaluating deployment strategies and long-term connectivity investments.
Networking and Ecosystem Exchange
5G-ACIA warmly invites visitors to join a dedicated media tour, guided tours through the 5G Arena, and the 5G-ACIA Get-Together on Tuesday evening, April 21, 2026. These formats provide valuable opportunities for networking and in-depth exchange with industry experts.
HANNOVER MESSE 2026 will take place from April 20 to 24, 2026. Tickets are available via our website Hannover Messe 2026 – 5G-ACIA
