Wireless TSN is a key enabler of several automation use cases in Industry 4.0. like coordinated movement of robots or closed-loop-control of machines. However, not many wireless-TSN products are known in the market today and enabling TSN end-to-end over 5G requires solutions at different levels of the communication system that no company can offer as an integral single-vendor solution so far.
This testbed facilitates the cooperation between a variety of partners to integrate the suitable system and validate the interoperability of the 5G-TSN building blocks. The partners have jointed their technical capabilities and expertise to show the OT-IT the feasibility of product-grade TSN solutions that adequately support relevant use cases and industrial application protocols like OPC UAFX – Field Exchange.
